The GRÖLLE passprojects gallery was founded in September 2010 by Jürgen Grölle in a historic factory building on the Wupper. Our focus is on exhibitions of contemporary painting, sculpture and spatial installations. Through international exhibition collaborations, residencies and events in the field of performance and experimental music, a broad and international network of creative artists has developed.
The gallery has developed into an interdisciplinary institution. Since October 2016, another exhibition space with 100 square meters has been available: RAUM2. Until 2023, RAUM2 served as a project space for young artistic and curatorial positions. At the end of 2023, we handed the space over to the Siegersbusch Film Academy, where film and theater projects are now being realized in cooperation.
In addition, the gallery rooms GRÖLLE Düsseldorf were opened at Platanenstraße 11 in Düsseldorf Flingern. Since then, the gallery has been called "GRÖLLE Wuppertal | Düsseldorf".

The gallery does not see itself primarily as part of the art market and trade, but rather as an artistic, cultural and social forum. Our regular contributions and events include: Bazon Brock - think mobile, the Philosophical Café, concerts in the "Fragments" series, the Outside Artists Studio and various film projects and residencies.
